Hello, I'm Sylvia

After completing my Bachelor's degree in English translation and linguistics, I unexpectedly found my calling as a junior wine editor in the wine industry. My journey truly flourished when I joined a prominent wine importer, where I gained valuable global wine trade insights. Driven by a desire to deepen my expertise, I relocated to Burgundy, France, in 2018 to pursue an MBA in Wine Business, immersing myself directly in the heart of wine production.

Combining my academic background, WSET training, and industry experience, I boldly launched my freelance career in 2021 amid the uncertainty of the pandemic.

Over the years, I've collaborated with a wide spectrum of global clients—from heritage-driven producers to trailblazing newcomers. My roles have encompassed traditional tasks like wine sourcing, hosting tastings and dinners, alongside modern marketing initiatives such as strategic content creation, digital campaigns, and brand storytelling. Now, in the era of AI-driven transformation, I am proud to contribute to revolutionary data-driven projects that are reshaping the wine landscape.

My personal journey mirrors my professional evolution—from an early love for off-dry Vouvray to gravitating toward the complexity of a smoky, spicy skin-macerated Grüner Veltliner. Wine is more than my profession; it's a lifelong passion rooted in genuine curiosity and cultural connection. With deep wine expertise, cultural fluency, and a multifaceted industry perspective, my mission is to deliver measurable value and impactful results to each of my clients.
